How Painting Can Be Your Passion
When it comes to art, Brianna Rengifo takes it to the next level. With architectural detail and stunning colorful paintings, they really are a sight to see. Each painting is similar in style yet have the most distinct uniqueness to them. Now, onto how her creativity sprouted starts at a young age.
“Since I was small I would always try to do something creative. I owned many instruments that I barely learned how to play. I also became obsessed with photography until I found out I sucked at taking pictures and it was not that much fun to me.” It was a struggle early on in her life to find an output of expression before she began painting.
The inspirations for her eccentric works are buildings and interior design. This definitely shows in most of her pieces as she has individual figures popping out of various parts in a painting. “German expressionism art is one of my inspirations. My own experiences and memories also pose as an influence to my art.”
However, her path on becoming the artist she is today was not always an easy one. “In the beginning, my art was very different and I didn’t know how to show individualism. I would be comparing myself and trying to do styles I hated.” Her struggle was a set back in her trying to find her voice in her art, a style that stayed true to her imaginative ideas.
As this hardships came, they were surpassed as Brianna’s talent began to shine through and her skill began to take hold. “But then I started drawing and painting rooms and it eventually became this surrealist take on the world from my eyes and the situations around me. Now I just do what I want and don’t care if it fits in with the mainstream art we see.” Seeing the world of art through a different point of view, she was able to distinguish herself from the mainstream or typical styles of modern day art, and create paintings that are aesthetically pleasing and visually striking to those who witness it.
With the talent that she possesses, she plans on pursuing a career involving art and the use of her creativity.
“I am gonna study communication design and I would like to create children illustration books and would love to make a “horror” series of them with settings and characters I come up with. But I also would be happy doing product design and freelancing on the side.”
