At Doral Academy Charter High School, students are always looking for opportunities to innovate and create. When presented with the chance to influence, advise, and inspire our student body, none of us hesitated to accept. Being a part of this team demands hard work and long hours. But we, as Firebird Digital members, do it proudly to make a difference in not only our school, but our communities as well. We invite every person this site can reach to learn, experience, and enjoy the works shaped by our Firebird family. Below you can read about the dedicated students that write not just from their keyboards, but from their hearts and minds.

 The orchestrator behind every branch of Firebird Digital is our general manager Amanda Acosta. Her strategic vision and meticulous organization consistently elevate our quality, fostering a vibrant online community within the school.

A large portion of our success and foundation is found within our Graphic Design team, managed by Amanda Acosta. She is assisted by Sarah Mayorca, Kristina Rivera, Alison Lin, Alysha Valderrama, Sabrina Rodriguez, Jaden Saer, and Daniel Gerdes. They are the bedrock of our program and provide all of the graphics for our social media accounts and other ventures!

Our Digital Board team goes hand-in-hand with our graphic designers, as they specialize in making the announcements posted across campus to keep fellow students up to date with events! The team is managed by Luka De La Hoz, and he is assisted by Maximo San Martin, Sofia Osorio, Camila Ezquerra, Brianna Miranda, Lauren Ali, Ingrid Paucar, Bianca Hanks, Molly Dominguez, and Clarice Labrador. 

Our coverage team helps to ensure that all of our unique programs get to have their moment in the spotlight. They handle the publicity surrounding the events and make sure the student body is aware of the unique achievements of their peers. The team is managed by Meghan McGuinn and she is assisted by Micaella Galarza, Leah Linares, Mariana Falkenhagen, Camilla Rodriguez, Chiara Saer, Ana Parra, Sarah Breaux, Rocio Pena, Alejandra Cannata, Meagan Villazon, Aylah Juarez, Naomi Velasquez, Mia Caraballo, and Santiago Gonzalez.

Our photography team expertly captures moments in time, recording vital moments from sports to performing arts. Our team is managed by Meghan McGuinn and Jada Izquierdo, and they are assisted by Valeria Yepez, Brianna Soto, Sabrina Felipe, Francesca Reyes, Nathalie Hernandez, Giana Quinones, Karelix Dearmas, and Chanel Hernandez.

Our social media accounts have recently taken the world by storm! Our Doral CAP Instagram (@doralcap) is managed by Camila Moran and is assisted by Fiorella Rangel, Sarah Pineda, Daniella Pineda, Valentina Espinoza, and Lauren Carreno. Our Doral Counselors (@doralacademycounselors) account is managed by Camila Nuñez and assisted by Aranda Cova, Valerie Perez, Sophia Fuquen, Lourdes Lopez, and Jade Del-Valle.

Our website is maintained and managed by Ms. Dayami Alvarez, and she is assisted by Jennifer Giraldo, Camila Blanco, and Elizabeth Rodriguez.

Our student-run podcast, The Nest, serves as a digital stage where diverse ideas harmonize to inform, entertain, and inspire. It is available on Spotify, iTunes, and Soundcloud. The team is managed by Noella Navarro and is assisted by hosts Federico Cabral, Marianna Sourdis, Valentina Prusza, Camila Colon, Alejandro Laufer, Gabriele Arena, Kristina Rivera, Johnny Bravo, Rachelle Villalobos, Amanda Abreu-Quijano, and Camila Chopa.

Last but not least, Jennifer Giraldo and Elizabeth Rodriguez are in charge of handling the posts on this very website and everything that comes with the job (@thefbdigital). Jennifer Giraldo and Camila Blanco manage our Newsletter and are assisted by our Firebird Writers, Isabella Gonzalez, Sarah Mayorca, Valentina Torres, Elias Perez, Troy Sanchez, Aeden Rodriguez, Sophia Antonini, and Sebastian Guerra.

The priority of Firebird Digital is to be an outlet for anyone to escape and indulge through a digital platform. Doral Academy and Firebird Digital’s main objective is not only college success but to prepare students for the future. None of this would be possible without the encouragement and immense support from Doral Academy’s very own Administration.
