What is Firebird Digital?

       Firebird Digital is a social media team that facilitates the creation or sharing of information, ideas, and other forms of expression via virtual networks. We also strive to use our platform to genuinely make a difference to the people viewing our site and those around us. Unlike FBTV that brings you up to date with daily news and announcements, we handle various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and we even have our own podcast called “The Nest” that you can tune in to on Spotify or Apple Podcast. Our team consists of writers, graphic designers, photographers, and editors that deliver the best content we can obtain and primarily make choices based on what we think is the most informational, whether it’s the newsletter team providing you with monthly news, writers providing interesting yet entertaining articles, photographers with your event highlights or even our Tik Tok team with funny content of our administration taking on the trends. 

       You may think that our Tik Tok, Instagram, or even our very own podcast is run by administration, but in reality, it’s run by the ideas the students in the social media team have. Whether it’s a soccer game or a dance showcase, we’re always there to capture the highlights. Our team is constantly looking for innovative opportunities and ways to improve our social media platforms every day. We all strive and work hard so that you can be aware of what is going on within our school and important announcements, while also providing you with entertaining content such as Tuesday’s article, the monthly newsletter, Feature Fridays, Tik Tok trends, and “The Nest” podcast. However, the global pandemic has greatly changed the way our school’s social media team runs, but that hasn’t stopped us at any given time. In fact, it has influenced us to find distinct ways to produce content and new creative ideas. 

       Additionally, we also encourage students to become a part of our social media team and share their innovative ideas. Whether you’re good at writing, editing videos/photos, graphic designing, photography, or even if you have a podcast idea, it can give you the opportunity and freedom to really engage your creative side alongside some very talented students and Mrs. Alvarez. Personally, I have had the privilege to be part of such an amazing team, meet inspiring people, and grow/learn in this type of professional and friendly environment.

       What is Firebird Digital? To me, it’s a family where you not only grow and learn as you go, but you also have a deep appreciation and admire the people you work with and create bonds/friendships that will last a lifetime.
